Leah was born and raised in Spruce Grove, with her family members and their roots planted throughout the community for over 50 years. She graduated from the Alberta College of Massage Therapist’s 2200-hour program in June of 2012, and has been a member of the National Health Practitioners of Canada since 2011. During her 11-plus years in practice in the Spruce Grove community, Leah takes on a holistic framework with her massage therapy assessment and treatment plan, by valuing respect, relevance, responsibility, reciprocity, and relationality.
She utilizes an array of orthopedic assessment and massage techniques in her treatments including Swedish, deep tissue, and therapeutic massage techniques, trigger point therapy, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) / Muscle Energy Techniques (MET), active and passive release techniques, chronic pain management, injury prevention, sports performance, and functional movement. Leah has also has taken training in myofascial release, myofascial cupping, Manual Lymph Drainage, pre & post natal massage and even Reiki. She has a passion for postural dysfunction and joint mobility, for just your everyday activities.
In addition, Leah is the lead second year, 2200-hour Massage Therapy instructor for the South Edmonton School of Massage Therapy where she stays current with the research in massage therapy and modalities.
